New Winter Hours at the Gift House

New winter hours for the Gift House go into effect next week. Starting December 15th, the house will be open only on weekends. Saturday + Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Gift House will be warm, cozy, and there's a rumor about cookies, donuts and even coffee. Let the party continue . . .

And while you're there, please take home a wreath or two. The Gift House is bursting with them, also baskets, candles, mugs, and a million glass flower vases.

Wise Owls

Anybody love owls? This great collection arrived a couple weeks ago -- and is still hanging around. Maybe there's an owl nut who'd love these for Christmas. Come and get it!

So much in life is luck and timing. Just like any good day at The Orleans Gift House. You never know what you'll find. Treasures await -- and things that will surprise you, delight you, and make you laugh.Like this fantastically painted birdhouse. It arrived last May, not long after The Gift House opened. It sat on a shelf for two hours -- nobody else seemed to notice it but me. I brought it home, cleaned it up a bit, and gave it to my husband for Father's Day.
